Mindful Journaling Challenge – Day 1

When I was a child and young teenager I loved keeping a journal. Almost every night I would write in it before bed. It always helped me sleep to write down the highlights and hard parts of my day and get everything off my mind. As I got older I lost the habit. I was either too busy, too tired, or just didn’t make it a priority. As an adult and especially as a parent I need to make more time to take care of myself and journaling is one of the things I know helps me. I also figured there were a lot of other people out there that could use some self-care as well. This is why I decided to start this journal challenge.
This will be an ongoing challenge, I currently don’t have an end date. I’ll be posting two prompts per week, that way we all have time to think about it and take the time to write when it is convenient for each person and not overwhelming to keep up with. The prompts for this journal challenge will range from self-care to personal discovery and healing, from faith to gratitude, and personal growth. There will be easy, fun, challenging, and sometimes hard topics to write about. If a topic is posted that is just too difficult at this time or you feel doesn’t apply to you, feel free to skip it. I want this to be a positive experience for everyone!
And with all of that being said (don’t worry, future prompt posts won’t be so wordy!) here is your first prompt for this Mindful Journaling Challenge: Who inspires you most in life?
